If your paddocks get waterlogged in winter then open drains might be the solution for you. Open drains are an excellent and affordable way of solving your excess water problems.
The Rotary drain digger or V-drainer has two digging wheels that throw the dirt out, up to 10 metres away from the drain on both sides. This ensures that there are no banks on the side of the drain that need to be cleaned up after the drains are dug and, more importantly, that surface watercan run off directly into the drain. The drains can be dug to a maximum depth of 1.2 metres. However, a depth of around 60cm is usually sufficient.
The V-drainer ls laser controlled. This guarantees an even grade, which ensures that the drain will run empty
T&G Surface Drains now works with their own designed purpose built tracked tractor, built specifically for the V-drainer. As a result, the digger is now operated hydraulically, has more horsepower and is stronger. Being on tracks, the new machine is better able to handle slippery conditions.
